Shortly after I got married, my wife and I began cooking much more frequently since we were both on our own and going out to eat all the time can become costly. I think we also developed a need for easy recipes because they can save time and of course they are easy to make! I really love all of the recipes that are featured at Relish because they are unique and easy to make as well, such as the Panang Chicken Curry with Basil which is a Thai recipe that can be prepared in 30 minutes. I have been craving for some Halo-Halo for awhile now and then I saw that one my cousins recently posted a picture of Halo-Halo in her Facebook account. I am just drooling all day with this picture and I can't wait to visit my birth country again in the future. Look what I have below!

Men in Scrubs

Everything worked out this past weekend because my husband and I both work in the morning so we had the chance to be with his family and have a sleep over there. Anyways, two of my sisters-in-laws are both working in the medical field and therefore wear medical scrubs everyday at their places of work. Orange Chicken Recipe

I haven't posted anything new here for quite some time but I am happy to share with you guys another delicious recipe I had tried a few weeks ago. One of my favorite meats to cook is chicken and that is why I will be sharing you a recipe called "Orange Chicken". You will see below the ingredients and the procedure on how to make this delicious food for you and your family.

You will need:

4 tbsp orange juice

2 lbs of boneless chicken

2 cups all purpose flour

1 cup brown sugar

1 tsp minced garlic

1/2 cup green onions, chop

1 raw egg, beaten

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp ground black pepper

2 cups cooking oil

1 1/2 cup water

1/4 cup vinegar

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp corn starch

In a huge container, place the flour, salt and black pepper. Mix it well.

Deep chicken in the beaten egg mixture. Place the chicken inside the container.

Close the container and shake it gently to make sure that the chicken is evenly coated.

Heat up the cooking oil in a pan and deep fry the chicken for 7 minutes or till it turns golden brown.

In another sauce-pan, add water, vinegar, soy sauce, orange juice and then bring to a boil.

Add the minced garlic and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

Add diluted corn starch (2 tbsp of water) then mix well. Bring to a boil

Finally, add the deep fried chicken and cool until sauce nearly evaporates.

Add the green onions as toppings.

Serve hot with steam rice or Lo Mein noodles. Enjoy!

Unique Pet

I am really thinking about purchasing a pet, but I would like to get a small pet. I really like dogs, but my husband thinks that having a unique pet is great because it will amaze friends and relatives who come to visit. Just recently I found out about the Micro Pig, which is a pig that is actually smaller than a regular pig.
