Kitchen Nightmare

I was watching the marathon of Kitchen Nightmare with Chef and Restaurateur Gordon Ramsay earlier this evening and I was really surprised on how he turned businesses that are on the brink of bankruptcy into a successful one by changing the menu and helping the people who manage the business to be a better owner in the long run.

By the way, the food was delicious and I wish and pray that someday I will own a restaurant I can call my mine in the near future.

As a newlywed I am trying to make sure that I am fulfilling my duties as a wife. I try to keep the house clean, but I let my husband contribute to helping clean too. I only work three days a week, but my days are really long. I never feel like cooking when I get home from work. My husband and I have an agreement that he will cook on the days that I work and I will cook the days that I am off. It has worked well the past few months, but I feel like I am starting to cook the same meals over and over. My mom told me that she watches the Food Network to get new ideas for meals. I was not sure if I had the Food Network, or if I did, I did not know which channel it was on. I went to directstartv.com to find a list of the channels I have. I was able to find the Food Network and I have gotten so many recipe ideas from the shows on this channel. I think that my husband is happy to be eating new meals now instead of the same thing every night.

Adobong Pork

Our dinner for tonight are consists of Adobong Baboy and Steam Rice. Since Adobo is one of my husband's favorite Filipino dishes, I'd make sure that I always prepare it every now and then. I am just happy that we arrived home safely because the weather is really awful today. The roads are frozen and we almost had an accident but my husband is quick to respond to what was about to happen. Thank God!

Fettuccine Noodles

Yesterday, I made a spaghetti using the Barilla fettuccine noodles which are bigger compared to the regular spaghetti noodles. We choose three cheese spaghetti sauce which in fact very delicious and to our liking. Dear hubby and I really enjoyed the larger noodles because it was our first time to use a different type of noodles for our spaghetti. Binisayang Adobo Recipe

It took longer for me to write an article about Adobong Binisaya recipe. But without further ado here is the complete recipe below.

2 pounds of pork sirloin, cubed
5 tablespoon of vinegar
1/4 tablespoon ground black pepper
1/4 tablespoon corn pepper
water
cooking oil
3-4 pieces laurel leaves
5 cloves of garlic
salt

Procedure:
1. Mix all ingredients except the cooking oil and bring it to a boil
2. Simmer until meat is tender and water is almost gone
3. Set aside and oil to the frying pan
4. Place the meat and cook it till brown
5. Serve hot with steam rice. Share and enjoy!

I am planning to make some Oatmeal cookies this coming weekend. My boss finally give me a copy of her oatmeal cookie today and I am happy and can't wait to try it. I have to say that I really do enjoy cooking quite a bit ever since I got married.
